It was a great day (May 27 2007) for all the blessed Srivaishnavas who were present in the special occassion of Swamy Manavala mAmunikal vigraha prathistai, in the Malibu temple in the city of Los Angeles. Malibu temple, is the first temple in the West Coast of US to be blessed with the presence of the great acharya (the acharya of the lord himself), yethi punaravathara, VishadhavAk sikAmani Srimad Vara Vara muni. As part of the event, homam and other procedures were done as per the agamas and also a grand ghosti of arulicheyal recitation (thiruppallandu, thirupalliezhuchi, thiruppAvai, amalanAdhipiran, kanninun siruthambhu, koil thiruvaimozhi, ramanusa nootrandhAdhi, upadesa ratinamalai, yethiraja vimsathi etc were recited) was performed. Vanamamalai mutt shisyas Sri Alwar Srinivasan, Sri Rangarajan, Smt. Radha Rangarajan, Sri Ravi Madabushi, Sri Varadarajan, Smt Sumithra Varadarajan were part of the ghosti.
