The 75th Thirunakshathiram of HH Sri Kaliyan Vanamamalai JEyar svami has been reported below.

The notable points of the events are

1. The participation of north Indian mahants.

2. The upanyasam-s in hindi.

3. The presence of non-sishyas among those thronging to get the blessings of svami.

4. The unending line of devotees till svami left Chennai.

5. Several devotees from north india (including from Delhi) came here exclusively for this purpose and stayed nearby all the three days and went alongwith svami to Thirumalai.

6. Several devotees from abroad -especially from US- made a trip to India only for this purpose.

Adiyen was in the Acharyan Thirunakshatra function on Dec 2nd 2007. It was very blissful. There were about 1800-2000 visitors yesterday. Swamy offered Sri Padha theertham to about 1600 bhagavathas. There was Divya Desam maryadhai from about 60 Divya Desams.

2 days, 3 times a day prasadam was offered during the event. About 1600 people would have taken part in the thadhiaradhanam yesterday. Four Jeeyar Swamis,

1. HH Sri Thirumali Periya kelvi appan Jeer
2. HH Sri Thirukkurungudi Perarulala J
3. HH Sri Azhwar Thirunagari EmPerumanar Jeer
4. HH Sri Sriperumbudur Embar Jeer

SriVaishnava sanyasis from north were also there. There were plenty of sishyas from north too. Swamy went for pattana pravesam in thanga pallakku yesterday morning all the way through south mada veedhi , TP koil street and turning at gagana mandapam to cross car street.

Swamy will be going to Thirumalai and Srirangam this week before reaching Vanamamalai on Dec 8th.

HH Srimath ParamahamsethyAdi Kaliyan VAnamAmalai rAmAnuja Jeeyar svAmi's 75 th Thirunakshatra MahOtsavam was celebrated at ThiruvallikEni on the second of December 2007. Organised by the Sri Vanamamalai Mutt, Triplicane, the thirunakshatram sounded a big day in every sense.

The Greatness of Sri SvAmi was to the fore at several instances as thousands of devotees shocked Triplicane with their turnout. The day was also graced by the Mahanths of the UttaraThothadri Mutts and various Jeeyar svAmis of the sampradAyam .

It is impossible to describe what went great first. The grand aruLicheyal ghOshti was divinity itself. The mangalAshasanam of Sri Vanamamalai Jeeyar svAmi of Lord PArthasArathy was a special event in itself. SvAmi was extremely patient to stop at each and every house in the temple lanes and accept Arathy from the devotees who thronged all over the mAda streets. SvAmi offered blessings and prasAdam to each and every person who had gathered for paying respects to SvAmi.

Floral respects were sent from DivyadEsams, AbhimAna sthalams and temples round the length and breadth of the nation. Thousands witnessed the glorious event of watching the respects being showered on Sri SvAmi. All the DivyadEsams were offered return respects by the Vanamamalai Mutt.

Then Sri Jeeyar svAmi offered Sri pAda theertam to the devotees. For a while devotees forgot it was Vanamamalai Mutt and were reminded of Tirumala ! Some people took as much as 4 hours to get Sri pAda theertham standing in the long queue . Sri Jeeyar svAmi patiently graced all the devotees with blessings and Sri pAda theertham. SvAmi was giving Sri pAda theertham for hours together to the stunningly high number of disciples who had rushed to the Mutt from across the globe.

Sattrrumurai took place in a grand manner and ThadeeyArAdhanam also took place. All the devotees and disciples were given the holy food by the Mutt authorities. While getting Sri pAda theertham, many were amused and delighted, when some people standing in the queue to be blessed by Jeeyar svAmi began to shout "govinda! govinda!' as they do at thirumala. It is no exaggeration to say , that the Thirunakshatram celebrations have marked one of the biggest events ever in the history of Sri Vaishnavism.
